Changes and a Continued Legacy
If you already read “The e&e IT Consulting Services Story Part 1,” you know that Linda and Tracy Etter founded e&e IT Consulting Services, Inc. in 2002, with a commitment to long-term relationships built on trust, respect, and exceptional service. You also know that, in 2014, Linda and Tracy partnered with Tarrus Richardson, CEO of IMB Development Corporation, to “strategically accelerate its growth throughout the region.”
As part of the purchasing agreement with Tarrus Richardson and IMB, it was agreed that Tracy and Linda would maintain active roles within the company for at least two years to continue to honor the mission, family legacy, and history of e&e IT Consulting Services, Inc. as a woman-owned business. Alecia was promoted into Linda’s President role in January of 2023 and is now responsible for business development and operations.
Fun Fact: Alecia says that her parents instilled in her the value of hard work early on, and she is thankful for their entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on approach to business. “I often found myself wanting to fully understand the ‘why’ behind things, and their guidance helped me become a great recruiter and mentor. They also taught me to focus on relationships not being transactional – and I take this value seriously.”
A Bright Future
When asked about the future, Alecia stated that, “e&e has worked hard to build lasting relationships with its clients and consultants and wants to continue to focus on those long-term relationships. We feel that kind of commitment can carry over to other locations and skill sets. Recently, we have expanded our team to not just the Harrisburg area but also Pittsburgh, State College, and Philadelphia. This extended team will enable us to learn the goals of clients in each of those regions and the types of resources these potential future clients have. Whether it’s in healthcare, engineering, education, or transportation, we have a team now that can thrive working in each of those environments.”
“Just as important as expanding our business presence, we want to extend our community presence as well. Developing a comprehensive internship program, working with nonprofits in the community, and increasing visibility to women, minority, and veteran opportunities is a goal of each person in our organization,” according to Alecia.
